Tijuana

A Mexican soldier, (R), stands in a room full of bags filled with dirt, as two other soldiers (L) work a winch to lower journalists into a long and sophisticated tunnel, on 07 November 2009, that was discovered under construction in a house near the Tijuana airport, Mexico and heading north to San Diego, USA. The tunnel, which has lighting, ventilation and a water removal system, is about 400 feet long, although it was incomplete. Such tunnels are used to smuggle drugs.
