Police gather outside the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Wednesday, Dec. 16th, 2009 where they fired tear gas and swung batons to disperse crowds of protesters trying to disrupt the 193-nation climate conference. Demonstrators for days have taken to Copenhagen’s streets to demand “climate justice,” firm action to combat global warming. Police said 230 protesters were detained.
