Herdsmen prepare to put a calf on a cart as the herd of 186 grey cattle is driven to the winter quarters in the snowy puszta or Hungarian steppe of Hortobagy, some 200 kms east of Budapest, Hungary, 17 December 2009. Grey cattle is an ancient, indigenous Hungarian species reared traditionally in the open air in the pusztas of the eastern half of Hungary all the year round.
