07/10/2009 - Thousands of evacuees remain housed in a gymnasium at Pasig city, east of Manila, Philippines for close to two weeks now, as their homes are still inundated by floodwaters. Tropical storm Ketsana brought the worst flooding in metropolitan Manila and neighboring provinces in more than 40 years with another typhoon ravaging northeastern Philippines a few days later bringing the total death toll to more than 300.
