Gli scontri a Srinagar

A Srinagar e nelle principali città della Valle del Kashmir, in India, sono in corso manifestazioni, rivolte e scioperi, convocati il 31 gennaio dalla APHC - un’alleanza di partiti e leader secessionisti - in seguito alla morte del quattordicenne Wamiq Farooq, ucciso da un candelotto fumogeno lanciato dalle forze di polizia.

La sovranità sulla regione del Kashmir è contesa all’India da parte dei movimenti separatisti musulmani; questo conflitto ha già condotto a due guerre. La maggior parte degli abitanti dell’area prova crescenti sentimenti anti-indiani.
