<p><strong>Il 14 febbraio scorso ha avuto inizio, per la Cina, il nuovo anno lunare, <a href="http://blog.panorama.it/mondo/2010/02/13/oroscopo-cinese-arriva-lanno-della-tigre/">l&#8217;anno della Tigre</a></strong>.  Secondo il calendario lunare il capodanno - o Festa di Primavera, una tra le più importanti festività tradizionali cinesi - coincide con il secondo novilunio dopo il solstizio di inverno.</p>
<p>Per tradizione, in Cina <strong>i festeggiamenti per l&#8217;inizio del nuovo anno lunare durano per almeno una settimana</strong>, durante la quale scuole, uffici pubblici, banche ma anche molti negozi rimangono chiusi e si rimane in famiglia, guardando in TV le oltre 5 ore del gala televisivo divenuto ormai un rituale sin dal 1983, consumando tutti insieme un lungo pasto.</p>

<p>Negli ultimi anni si sta, però, sempre più diffondendo l&#8217;<strong>abitudine di utilizzare tali giorni di festa per viaggiar</strong>e, per conoscere Paesi lontani. Secondo la China Youth Travel Service (una delle più grandi agenzie di viaggio cinesi), rispetto allo scorso anno il mercato dei viaggi all&#8217;estero è cresciuto di circa il 40% e quello dei viaggi all&#8217;interno del Paese di circa il 20%.</p>
<p>Secondo le superstizioni, durante l&#8217;anno appena iniziato <strong>ci saranno pochissimi matrimoni</strong> -  il marito o la moglie della coppia che si sposasse nell&#8217;anno della tigre, morirebbe in giovane età - <strong>e poche nascite</strong>, soprattutto di figlie femmine, perché si ritiene che le bambine che nascono nell&#8217;anno della tigre sono destinate a portare cattiva sorte alle loro famiglie, perché troppo forti. Nel precedente anno della tigre, il 1998, si è registrato il secondo peggior livello di nascite dal 1996 al 2007. Ovviamente non tutti credono a queste antiche credenze, che molti giovani considerano sorpassate e ridicole, anche se sono ancora molte le coppie che preferiscono non rompere la tradizione.</p>

The first Sacrifice to Heaven ritual began in the year 1420 AD when the Temple of Heaven was completed. The practice was meant to usher in wealth and security for the emperor (the Son of Heaven) and his nation.
