Tsunami, a sei anni ricordi e preghiere nel sud dell’Asia

An Indian woman mourns the loss of a relative as she pays homage at a sand art work depicting the Tsunami 2004 disaster victims at Marina beach, Chennai, India on 26 December 2010. Homages were paid on the 6th anniversary of the Tsunami disaster which occured on 26 December 2004 in which some 220,000 people lost their lives in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Thailand. A total of 12,405 people lost their lives in the Tsunami disaster in India in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry and the Andaman and Nicobar group of islands, according to official figures. Indonesia was the nation hardest hit by the Tsunami.
