A photo made available on 17 May 2011 showing busted watermelons in the greenhouses in Danyang city in east China’s Jiangsu province on 13 May 2011. Some 45 hectares of watermelon grown by 20 farmers in Danyang were affected, which allegedly was caused by the use of the growth accelerator forchlorfenuron, though it has been widely available for some years, according to state media CCTV.
