Municipal workers place a boom over the oil-polluted River Lambro late 23 February 2010 with a powder substance, following a huge oil spill that is believed to be the act of saboteurs. The oil spill has began seeping from the tributary into the country’s main River Po. It is reported that early 23 February unidentified suspects broke into a depot and spilled several million litres of oil and diesel into the Lambro.
